Founded in 1998, London based Brindisa is today renowned worldwide for their array of artisanal products that capture the essence of Spain’s rich culinary heritage. With three retail shops, five restaurants across London, a wholesale operation and an online shop, Brindisa is firmly established as one of the UKs Spanish food champions.

Long-term Strategy

Since taking over management of Brindisa’s PPC accounts in 2019, we’ve worked closely with the business on various marketing initiatives and have explored many strategies to grow revenue and increase their return on ad spend (ROAS), which initially stood at just over 3x the ad spend.

We have also been through the pandemic together, which witnessed massive online growth for ecommerce across the board, but also a competitive rise like never before. During that time, we had to adapt quickly to retain audiences and steer campaigns in front of growing competition and rising cost per click figures.

We’ve all heard the saying “make hay while the sun shines,” and for a couple of COVID-19 years, we did just that for Brindisa. We enjoyed being able to aggressively grow the ROAS, consistently seeing monthly returns that were over 23 times the ad spend.

Anticipating the post-pandemic lockdowns and the reopening of physical store shopping, concerns were raised over the sustainability of campaign performance. We expected the numbers to fall as everyone enjoyed returning to some level of physical shopping as opposed to click and deliver.

To drive continued impact, new branded search strategies were explored and expanded. We needed to strengthen brand awareness and continue to cut through the noise as the market leant towards discount-led sales to maintain user attention.

Despite the expected drop in luxury ROAS figures following the lifting of UK restrictions in June 2021, we have been able to consistently maintain profitable returns and excellent results across a 5 year period.
